We Love Recycling!

For the beginning I want to introduce a problem of my native city, which I chose for my Social Change Campaign. In my opinion, the biggest problem in my city is that we don`t have recycle service. People ignore the importance of using it. As a result, we have a lot of landfills in our beautiful city, where garbage is not even parsed. One plastic bottle disintegrates more than 100 years! And then people want to breathe with healthy air? Also, why we have to kill more trees if we could use recycled paper? If the trees were distributed wi-fi, people have planted thousands of trees, but they produce only oxygen, they we need just for our lives!

Why it is important for me? I want to save our planet, save my home, give a healthy future for our kids, that they can enjoy as much as we can now! Everything is just in our hands. We should put a lot of recycle cans in parks, streets, near forests, beaches and even in our houses! We should make a lot of advertisements on these topics with vivid facts about killing nature through trash! I wish that people will support this idea, and we will have clean streets, clean air, clean water and lots of trees!

Some facts about recycling:

Metal/Aluminum (tin)

  • A recycled tin can would save enough energy to power a television for 3 hours

Glass

  • The largest glass furnace produces over 1 million glass bottles and jars per day. Glass is 100% recyclable and can be used again and again.

Paper

  • Recycled paper makes 73% less pollution. It takes 24 trees to make 1 ton of newspaper.

Plastic

  • The use of plastic growing about 4% each year. Plastic can take up to 5 years to break down.

Thank you for your attention!
