It is time to make a conclusion...

In the end of the GNML online program I would like to make a conclusion, about my experience that I received in all 10 sessions!

What was the single most rewarding experience for me during the GNML program?

I think Blogger was the most rewarding experience, and also most exciting and interesting. I like customizing my blog for my campaign in the way I like it, chosing the design, gadgets etc. Also, I enjoyed the way Blogger works, because I can share not only my ideas and news, but also videos, pictures and different links related to my campaign.

What was the single most challenging experience for me during the GNML program?

The most challenging experience for me was using the LinkedIn platform, because I have never heard about it before, but I figured it out very quick. Now I understand how can I connect people in order to achieve my goal. Also, I like that I can search for those people who I know, those who are related to my campaign or might be interested in it.

How do I plan to use my new social media skills in the future?

I am planning to keep going on with my campaign, sharing news from one network to another, in order to make it grow up. I feel like if I will involve a lot of people in it and spread it out the community, this problem will touch everybody's mind. Beside this, I want to create some more compaigns with another important problems in the society!  Also, I would like to share my new knowledge with others through some presentations and master-classes to students in my school and people in my community who are interested in it.

My way of using social media for social changes.

Today I want to show you how I see my way of using social media for social changes.

Blogger is the most useful platform for me, because I can share my thoughts, my ideas, my beliefs, and through all these, I can make a direct connection with my readers. Also I can post pictures, videos and different links to make people understand me better. Beside this, I can customize my blog and make it unique for my own campaign!

I think Twitter is the quickest way of sharing news about my social campaign! It is very easy, and in the same time, a very powerful way to share information with people. Through Twitter I can write small messages on a daily basis, so people who are related to my campaign can get involved every day!

YouTube is a perfect and creative way for me to show people the visual examples, and also to make a direct connection to people through videos! I want to post videos that shows my campaign progress in order to inspire people.

Facebook allows me to reach people who want to become a volunteer or who are just interested in my campaign. It is very comfortable to involve and inform people about my social campaign.

I like using Instagram, because it is so interesting, and so powerful! I think when I share pictures, that show people examples and tell them more about my campaign. They become more involved, and they have more desire to improve it and help.

LinkedIn was completely new for me, but I understood how I can use it properly in order to improve my campaign. I will make connection to people that are related to my campaign or just interested in it in order to make it bigger, involve more people and receive support from others.

Also, I am planning to connect all my social networks, sharing news from one to another, in order to make it more powerful and more accessible for people to acquire information.

Local students recycle 15 tons

Greetings to everyone!

Today morning I received an email through Google Alerts with news in Recycling World! One of them impressed me so much! So, I want to share it with you:

Every Tuesday afternoon during the school year,  Elementary School kids are helping to save the earth and the city school system's money, by helping to separate the recyclables from the solid waste stream. Teachers said that this process helps students to understand the purpose and importance of  recycling.

Would a ban on plastic bags do much good?

YES. Indeed.

I found this topic here, and i thought isn`t that be cool to have a ban on plastic bags? 

Sometimes we even don`t think about it. Have you ever seen a big family shopping in food markets, and after that, they have tons of plastic bags trying to fit in the trunk? And it repeats every shopping day!

We have a solution! Recycled shopping bags! You don`t have to do much, just put it in your car and reuse it when you go grocery shopping. It is cheap and simple way to help our planet stay healthy!

Hi to everyone! I hope you all had a great holidays!

But, it`s time to think about the consequences of Christmas and New Year. What did you do to your Christmas Tree, or, for example to your Christmas gift cards? Did you just throw them away? That was a huge mistake!
